UX UI Designer creating user flows

Job Opening | UX/UI Designer (m/f/d)

As a UX/UI designer (m/f/d), you will design apps that empower users – software which makes people happy or someone's work easier. You will accompany the agile process from the very beginning and work closely together with the development team and the client. You will be in charge of usability and design issues all the way through production, starting with the first sketches of ideas through wireframes, prototypes and design systems.

Your profile

  • Completed studies in communication design or a similar field or several years of professional experience as a designer. **Your portfolio impresses with creative stylistic confidence.
  • You **live in Augsburg or the surrounding area.
  • You have team spirit and good communication skills, to work with different stakeholders. You can communicate your ideas to others, empathize with the users, and anticipate their demands and assumptions.
  • You don't settle for the first best, have an eye for detail and are stylistically confident in color and typography.
  • You're good with one of the common UI design tools (we use Figma).
  • You have a flair for current trends, a desire to try things out, and **are adept at dealing with the nature of the web: **Mobile First, Responsive Design, Accessibility, and a11y.
  • You speak fluent English and German.

Your area of expertise

  • Together with the Peerigon developer team you will implement technologically challenging projects. You build user interfaces based on JavaScript that are barrier-free, responsive and cross-browser compatible.
  • You are comfortable with agile software development in a team with daily stand-ups, weeklies, sprint reviews...
  • You are independent in communication and professional in dealing with customers and project teams.
  • You teach juniors to think like software engineers.
  • You actively shape Peerigon in close cooperation with other team members in Augsburg or remotely.

Your benefits

  • No more waterfall and project juggling. Peerigon projects are agile with sprint plannings, weeklies, retros, and everything that goes with it. **From the first idea to the testing of the prototypes, everything happens in close teamwork and at eye level with developers, stakeholders, and product owners.
  • Truly flexible working time model instead of trust-based working time** (where employees actually often work more than they should). No overtime falls under the carpet. You use them up whenever.
  • Challenging projects (and gladly those that create meaning).
  • Good and fair salaries and transparent contracts without gender pay gap.
  • We walk the talk where many only talk about New Work. Good team culture is a top priority at Peerigon. Look forward to a dynamic work environment where you can contribute at any time and your ideas are valued.
  • Start out in our Augsburg headquarters and work later on: from home, in Hamburg, Amsterdam, or Canada.
  • Choose Your Own Device: Use your Macbook for business as well as for pleasure.
  • We value a **lived work-life integration for the interest and family-friendly arrangement of your working hours. In addition 30+2 vacation days, full parental leave, and openness for sabbaticals.
  • Weekly sports budget on work time.
  • Our work environment always brings something new: we offer you a generous annual training budget for conferences, workshops, meetups, and tech talks at home and abroad, as well as regular internal team training.
  • JobRad: bike leasing with discounted conditions including insurance.
  • If you like, share your knowledge at conferences, meetups, in blog articles and workshops.
  • Actively shape your work environment** and Peerigon as a company - we live participation.
